Jeanette Stewart, CPDT-KA
Owner, Class Instructor & Behavioral Consultant
Jeanette Stewart, CPDT-KA started working with and training dogs using positive methods at Animal School Inc. in Portland, Oregon. Later working at 2 doggie daycare and training facilities helped Jeanette to apply and further continue practical work and observe canine behavior. With over twenty years working professionally, Jeanette has acquired the skills and passion for working with difficult dogs including aggression, anxieties and other problem behaviors.  Jeanette works to teach the most practical, effective positive methods to aid dog owners in successful training and behavior modification for all breeds, sizes and temperaments of dog.
Since the summer of 2010 Jeanette has been the lead trainer and behavioral evaluator for New Hope for Eastern Oregon Animals' Powder Pals Program.  This program works in conjunction with Powder River Correctional Facility in which minimum security inmates train homeless dogs at risk for euthanasia, using positive reinforcement methods.  This makes the dogs highly adoptable and easier to place successfully, and gives inmates educational and life skill building opportunities.  Currently, New Hope is further working on building an animal shelter in Baker City which currently does not have a shelter.
